So. This mini comic is my entry for Makorra Week 2012 Day 1: Fantasy 
<3 I've waited impatiently for this week to arrive! SO exciteddd.
it takes place in a magical, middle-eastern version of Republic City where Korra has not joined the Fire Ferrets yet, and Mako has only met her a few times before.
I was thinking Prince of Persia, Bollywood-ish Aladdin. Not sure if its considered strictly fantasy, but When I interpreted the theme I thought about the magical, folkloric aspect of the middle eastern cultures.
Sorry If the characters are a little ooc, this is a fan comic after all : P
